Unlike traditional buoyancy solutions, our Pipe Floaters feature a lightweight yet robust design that minimizes installation effort while maximizing load-bearing capacity: each unit can support pipe diameters ranging from 50mm to 1200mm, with buoyancy ratings customizable from 50kg to 1000kg per floater.

Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Pre-Installation Preparation

Assess Piping Specifications: Measure the outer diameter (OD) of your pipe and calculate the total weight of the submerged pipe segment (including fluid inside). Use this data to determine the number of floaters required (refer to our "Buoyancy Calculation Guide" for formula: Number of Floaters = Total Submerged Weight ÷ Floater Buoyancy Rating).
Inspect Floater Condition: Check each floater for visible damage (e.g., cracks, dents) and ensure all accessories (clamps, bolts, gaskets) are included and in good condition.
Prepare Tools & Equipment: Gather necessary tools, including wrenches (adjustable or socket), tape measure, level, and safety gear (gloves, safety glasses, life jackets—if working on water).

Step 2: Floater Installation

Position the Pipe: Secure the pipe segment in a stable position (use temporary supports if working on land, or a barge if working on water) to prevent movement during installation.
Mount the Floaters:
- For split-body floaters: Open the two halves of the floater, place them around the pipe at evenly spaced intervals (recommended: 1-3 meters apart, depending on pipe weight), and align the bolt holes.
- For one-piece floaters: Slide the floater onto the pipe from the end (ensure the pipe end is free of obstacles) until it reaches the desired position.
Secure the Floaters: Tighten the clamping bolts using a wrench—ensure the floater is snug against the pipe, but not over-tightened (over-tightening may damage the pipe or floater). Use a torque wrench for consistency (refer to the product manual for recommended torque values: typically 25-50 N·m).

Step 3: Post-Installation Checks

Test Buoyancy: Submerge the piped-floater assembly in water (or simulate submerged conditions) to verify that the pipe remains at the correct depth and does not tilt or sink. Adjust the number of floaters if necessary.
Inspect Connections: Check all clamp bolts and pipe joints for leaks or looseness. Re-tighten any loose components.
Document Installation: Record the number of floaters used, their positions, and installation date for future maintenance reference.
